SOUND
Sound healing is an ancient alchemy to restore harmony and natural resonance. Our sound bath meditations will relax you and open you up to new directions guided by inner listening.
-

BREATH
The breath and prana are the keys to vitality in life. We share tools that connect the mind, body and spirit and open us to consciousness, transformation and possibility.
-

MANTRA
Your body is an instrument. Voice is a portal to wisdom and grace; the ears a gateway to soul. We chant sacred sounds together, and open doors to deep insight, devotion and beloved connection.
-

NATURE
Nature talks with us and mirrors wisdom. We guide connection practices that attune you to primordial elements. We remember we are nature and activate instinctive ways of knowing.
-

MOVEMENT
Kundalini yoga movements - kriyas - shift physical and energetic blocks to settle you into ease and flow. Practices support you to move through life with clarity and awareness.
“It has been difficult to find the words to describe what Compass Retreat meant to me. It is not often that you can walk into a space with a bunch of relative strangers and feel a sense of complete belonging, but that is the atmosphere Bec and Natalie somehow manage to create.”
— katy
“I felt as if I had been exported to another time and place in the space that they held. When emotional feelings came up they both just put you at ease and made you feel seen, heard and cared for. I feel a whole lot lighter and seem to have found a bit more motivation, direction and calmness in my life.”
— CARLA
“Bec and Natalie clearly have an incredible mutual reverence for their practices which is profound and infectious to witness, and even more special because they are able share these practices in an environment that is also filled with laughter and fun.”

compass PROGRAM: a place to find your self
day 1 | fri 6 Nov 2026, 3-9pm
We arrive to a spa wellness session, then graze before we gather in circle to connect to the place, one another and the foundational Mul Mantra, which sets our retreat course. A sound meditation lulls us to slumberland. We surrender and create space to simply receive.
day 2 | sat 7 nov, 7:30am-9:30pm
It’s the day to meet ourselves and clear debris obscuring our path. We connect to deep foundations through kundalini yoga, guided nature wander and dynamic breathwork. We chant, ponder, journal and share a steam massage ritual, before the evening’s vocal toning and sound meditation.
day 3 | sun 8 nov, 8am-3:30pm
We reset with grace as inner wisdom and energies emerge. We gain clarity about ourselves and our unique place in the world. With strong foundations, and guided by the maps of mantra, movement, sound and breath, we journey back to our soul identity and find the way to our own true nature.
post retreat | integration
We continue to hold space and nourish intentions as you step into life and reorient post-retreat. Together, we will reconvene in December at a Castlemaine Sunday Soothe event. You can also receive a discounted private reiki or sound healing session a month after the retreat.
YOGA SOUND healing RETREAT AUSTRALIA
A PLACE TO FIND YOURSELF
Compass Retreat is a journey - a reorientation - back to feeling fully you. It’s an opportunity to remember your true essence and restore your energy. This is your an invitation to soulful living.
On retreat we share in the medicine of reconnection, weaving in nourishment and wisdom. We shine the light back on and into you, far away from busy life distractions, obligations and to do lists that dull our spirit over time.
RATHER GOOD RETREAT FACILITATORS
Nat Dowling and Bec Taylor are trained and experienced facilitators who share a potent blend of practices so that you receive physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual benefits. We teach to all levels.
Whatever it is you need, once you say ‘yes’ to this retreat you inner compass will begin to reorient. Such is the power of intention when you choose to gift yourself this moment.
Over the retreat program you’ll have your unique experience, and also gather tools, practices and ideas to support you back in ‘real life’ beyond the weekend itself.
SMALL AND WELCOMING RETREAT
We deliberately keep our retreat numbers low. This intimacy creates space, care and safety for an expansive program.
Each part of the curated weekend is beautifully interconnected and interwoven as a sequence for personal exploration and discovery, whatever stage you are at in life.
Movement opens the body. Breath carries your sound. Mantra chant enhances how we receive sound meditations. Nature connection deepens elemental listening to the world and self.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Compass Retreat is not your average couple of days away. But you don’t need any yoga or sound healing experience, nor any kind of regular practice or beliefs.
We simply invite humans craving time, space and guidance to get to know, appreciate and trust yourself, and to emerge from the weekend with more juice in the tank.
People in transition times seem to appreciate the insight and courage that Compass brings.
A RETREAT FOR TRANSITION TIMES
Maybe the kids are leaving home, you’re questioning career or relationship, or just wondering where you disappeared to when you were busy doing all the things for everyone else.
You have an inkling that now feels like the time to find your self - for you, your way.
“Thank you both so much for an amazing weekend, the way you both held the space - provided scaffolding but did not overly fuss when big feels were present - comfortable discomfort...”
“One amazing weekend. Thanks Bec and Nat for sharing your knowledge and holding space for those that attended. A weekend of discovery through breath, sound, movement and mantra.”
“I was able to show up as myself. As a result of the retreat I am recognising the need for ritual, reverence and connection in my life to be able to not just cope but live in my truth.”

Bec and Nat invite curious people who feel ready to explore life and soul a little differently, but want an experience, practices or people to guide them.
It’s a great, intentional weekend for people in transition times.
Our retreat gives you space and permission to safely ponder some of the questions underneath, like ‘what next?’ or ‘is there more than this?’
Come as you are because Compass suits all levels of experience and all life stages.
We have consciously created a full program with a mantra foundation and sequential building block sessions and wellbeing integration.
You can choose to dip your toe in or deep dive. Everything is an invitation, never an obligation.
There will be opportunities for individual support throughout the weekend. Both Bec and Nat are experienced at sharing with people at various levels.

Compass is a journey that will leave you feeling different.
Our program is fuller than your average retreat. But we cater to all levels.
Our retreat style creates a supportive and brave space to reflect and explore as you access a range of yoga sound tools in your own way.
We encourage participants to lean into discomfort or the unfamiliar.
But everything is an invitation, never an obligation.
Deep listening to what you need in the moment is a big part of the learning process. Sometimes, that can be just rest.
Practices are offered with modifications to suit all.
There are multiple sound bath meditations across the weekend, so you can lie down, relax and allow things to settle.
Our program sequence covers a lot but the immersive experience makes it all accessible and beneficial.
There are short gaps and also dedicated free time on Saturday afternoon to take a Turkish steam bath, nap or read.
We continue to nurture your deepening connection as you head back to the world, so that the seeds planted at this retreat can continue to grow.
The ticket price includes a group Sunday Soothe in Castlemaine about a month after the retreat, plus a discount on 1:1 reiki or sound healing.

No. The retreat is designed as a sequential program with a session flow to facilitate deep work in a supportive context.
There is also a sacred nature to the journey that requires commitment to yourself for three days.
We also build trust and energy as community when we gather in a cohesive group from Fri to Sun, and that container is part of the Compass magic.

Our venue is located in Hepburn Springs, just outside of Daylesford.
There is free car parking available at Continental House. Even so, we encourage car pooling if you are coming from the same local area.
The nearest train station is Woodend, and there are bus transfers to Daylesford (check the V-Line timetable).
Please get in touch in advance if public transport is your mode of travel, and we’ll see what we can do to facilitate your arrival.
-
We will send out specific information one week prior to the retreat.
Generally, pack clothes in which you can move comfortably. Layers are good as there will be moments of movement and stillness. Central Vic can be varied in spring, so bring some warm things.
Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunhat and a rain jacket as we will journey out into nature. Pack your bathers and/or sarong for the hammam steam bath ritual.
Add anything you’d normally take on a weekend away but be aware that phone and digital technology use will be kept to a minimum to facilitate a full retreat experience. Reception is patchy, anyway. Go analogue and bring a journal and pens.
Also, come with an open mind, a commitment to be present in the experience however it rolls, and ponder an intention for your personal retreat.
