YOGA SOUND healing retreat guides

Compass Retreat is a holistic and nourishing deep dive back into the essence of who you are. A re-union with your soul.

Nat and Bec share a potent blend of practices so that you receive physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual benefits.

It’s all beautifully interconnected and interwoven. Movement opens the body. The breath carries the sound. Chanting enhances how we receive sound meditation. Nature connection deepens elemental listening.

Our unique yoga sound retreat program expands upon our monthly Sunday Soothe collaborations in Castlemaine and Kyneton.

Bec’s classes contain ancient practices that bring people home to their own inner sense of joy, love and presence.

The combination of movement, breath, mantra and meditation offer possibilities for deep healing and transformation.

Bec has been teaching yoga for a decade in various studios and spaces across Australia. She now calls Kyneton home.

She is passionate about sharing the yoga practices that have shaped and transformed her life.

Nat’s training as a sound healing practitioner, nature connection leader, her storytelling business, and animist ways of being have transformed how she sees life and her place in it.

Nat is a down-to-earth facilitator who now utilises the potency of sound, story and nature to guide connection, so people can rediscover their unique expression, inner truth and wild authenticity.

Finding natural resonance in these ways transforms a person's way of showing up in and belonging to the world.

day 1 FRI 25 OCT | 4-9pm

We graze on food stuffs and gather in circle to connect to the place, to one another and to the foundational Mul Mantra, which sets our course for the weekend and beyond. A sound meditation lulls us to slumberland. We let go, open up and create space to receive.

day 2 SAT 26 OCT | 7:30am-9:30pm

It’s the day to meet ourselves and clear debris obstructing our path. We stir things up a little with kundalini yoga, guided nature wandering and deep breath work. We chant, ponder, journal and rest before the evening’s vocal toning and relaxing sound meditation.

yoga-sound-healing-retreat-kyneton

day 3 SUN 27 OCT | 8am-4pm

Gentleness returns as we reset and inner wisdom emerges. We gain clarity about ourselves and our place in the world, as the four yogic directions of mantra, movement, sound and breath guide us back to centre, our soul identity. We connect with our Sat Nam (true nature).

 FAQS | compass retreat

  • Our immersive yoga sound retreat suits all levels of experience. It’s a deep dive into personal and reflective experiences.

We welcome curious people who are interested in showing up for reverent and sacred work, those who feel ready to explore life more profoundly, and are seeking supportive practices.

There will be opportunities for individual guidance and support throughout the weekend. Both Bec and Nat are experienced at sharing with people at various levels.

We’re a friendly and encouraging community for wherever you are on your journey. So if you are a regular practitioner, there’s plenty here to challenge you too.

All participants will complete an intake form so we can modify practices and offer options to meet everyone’s needs.

  • Our style creates a supportive and brave space to reflect and explore as you access a range of yoga tools in your own way. We go on a journey but embed spaciousness in the program to encourage integration as things stir.

We encourage participants to lean into discomfort or the unfamiliar. But everything is an invitation, never an obligation. Deep listening to what you need in the moment is a big part of the process.

Practices are offered with modifications to suit all.

Our program sequence covers a lot but the immersive experience makes it all accessible. There are short gaps and also dedicated free time on Saturday afternoon to take a spa, nap or read.

We continue to nurture your deepening connection as you head back to the world, so that the seeds planted at this retreat can continue to grow. The ticket price includes a private reiki or sound healing session, and a group Sunday Soothe in Castlemaine (5pm 25 Nov) one month after the retreat.

  • No. The retreat is designed as a full weekend program with a flow of activities and sequence of sessions that facilitate deep work in a supportive context.

There is also a sacred nature to the journey that requires commitment to yourself for three days. We also build trust and energy as community when we gather in a cohesive group from Friday to Sunday, and that container is part of the Compass magic.

  • Yes, payment plans can be purchased for retreat tickets until 30 June 2024.

There is a $100 admin fee plus five (5) instalments of $255. The total cost of the plan is $1375.

You will need to head over to the booking page and select the bundles and plans category. When you buy the plan you get a code with which you then book your retreat ticket.

  • Yes. There is a form to fill out when you book your retreat ticket so we understand how to cater for you. Be sure to complete this section so we receive plenty of notice to meet your needs in tasty and nourishing ways.

Accommodation needs to be purchased as a separate booking item from the retreat ticket.

Compass is drug and alcohol free.

  • There is plenty of free car parking available at The Pond House. Even so, we encourage car pooling if you are coming from the same local area.

The nearest train station is Woodend about 20 minutes drive from the venue. Please get in touch in advance if public transport is your mode of travel, and we’ll see what we can do to facilitate your arrival at Pond House.

  • We will send out specific information one week prior to the retreat.

Generally, pack clothes in which you can move comfortably. Layers are good as there will be moments of movement and stillness. Trentham can be varied in spring, so bring some warm things (we have cosy wood fires inside and out).

Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunhat and a rain jacket as we will journey out into nature. Pack your bathers for the outdoor spa under the stars.

Add anything you’d normally take on a weekend away but be aware that phone and digital technology use will be kept to a minimum to facilitate a full retreat experience. Reception is patchy, anyway. Go analogue and bring a journal and pens.

Also, come with an open mind, a commitment to be present in the experience however it rolls, and ponder an intention for your personal retreat.

  • We’d love to hear them. It helps us to let everyone feel comfortable. Flick us an email at Bec <awaken_yogaandreiki@outlook.com> or <natalie@wanderintowildness.com.au>. Our phone numbers are listed above if you’d like a conversation before you commit to the retreat.
